A night to excite this Saturday night 10th March 2018

This Saturday night will see the Team head out West to Narrabri Speedway to compete in the 2018 Australian Microsprint Championships.

This is Kierah’s first Australian Title in the division to say she is excited would be an understatement.

“There is just something about an Australian Title that ignites the passion within” she said.

Also being her Rookie season in the division, her first ever race meeting was October 28th at Oakburn Park Speedway Tamworth which happened to be the NSW Title. Kierah had a sensational drive in the meeting having to start off the back of the grid for the heats, Kierah was able to be gridded up into position 8 in the feature where she qualified based on her Heat race finishes. At the end of the 25 lap feature, Kierah finished 4th in the feature earning her the “Hard Charger” Award.  “That race meeting was so much fun, the engine kept on blowing head gaskets, It blew one in Hot laps! then again in the 3rd Heat so to get to 4th was such a great achievement for me, I consider Oakburn Park Speedway to be my home track having raced there previously in Karts, I had simple goals go forward, have fun & learn, these goals I will take into this weekends Australian Title”

A 6th place finish at Nowra Speedway on February 17th, having a career highlight of finishing 3rd in a Heat race after starting pole,Kierah didn’t get the jump she wanted to off the start due to later finding out the gearbox had started to let go internally, “That heat race was a highlight for me, to be able to hold onto 3rd position with a field of fast guys and a failing gear box was a positive for me”

This will be her 3rd race meeting for this season due to having wait for the engine to be rebuilt from the NSW Title. A top quality field of Microsprint drivers have nominated for the event, with 5 drivers coming down from QLD to try and take out the Australian Title. Six Time Australian Champion Mitch Isaacs, Three time champion Rhys Isaacs, NSW Champ Lachlan Isaacs previous State Champions Brett Sainsbury & Paul Curran have also nominated.

‘It’s going to be a hotly contested Title, Whoever stands on that top step will have had to earn it, I will be doing my best, having fun, learning & getting as far up the front as we can, the top step would be the Ultimate goal!”

Be sure to come down after the race meeting to meet Kierah in the pits, sit in the car & grab yourself one of her Driver cards!
